Ma Joad has a way of looking at everything. She cares a lot of her family and sees it as the center of al her life. She isnt going to let anything harm the family or separate it.
Grapes of wrath pg. 230 " Ma`s face softened, but her eyes were fierce "You donde this`thout thinkin`much," Ma said. "What we got lef in the worl`? Nothin`but us. Nothin`but the folks."
Ma Joad also has a philosophy of being kind to people that are kind to her. She has the philosophy of " love your neighboor as yourself", she has compassion for the suffering.
