C. analisis: psycchological

Later came this so called Hoover vile, a place where a fellow’s house could be another’s garbage, houses of stinking carton and a smell of unhappiness in the air... that’s where we realized there wasn’t gona be no grapes in our mouths

C. analisis: love

commente

Love, to big to fit in one word, its what keeps the torch of freefom on. the love for the family and a common seeking...a stable or rich life are the options of some people. she will fight for love, for the kids, and for all the loved ones she cares about. even though this may cost her her own life; she wont give up on who sehe loves and protect them.

C. analisis: individuality

comment

Ma, if you haven't noticed, is very indipendant and a very smart person, most of this things are shown in the book, like when she pics up the scomes she defends herself against him and shows hoew indipendent she is by standing up for her rights; and she will do the same for her family. she will protect what they are and what they will be and is very determined to go through this difficult time.

C. analisis: hope

comment

Since ma and the others reached the government camp they have gotten hope from it and have realised that there are people who will help them and support them. Hot showers, nice place, food and shelter, all you need to live. seems like the paradise Ma thought the kids wouldve never had, even she always looked like she thought there was gona be a paradice she actually in some part, just assumed them.

Monologue 5

I remember..Yep I do remember when we got to the government camp..it was if like jesus had created a perfect place himself..God!..it was such a paradise, the showers , the food..you could see the happiness in the kids eyes, we were free again! No more cops or empty stomachs or any more sad faces…but later with the riot them cops had an excuse to punish us again and treat us like cows, it was not over.

analysis: Emotional/ care

Commentary
They are getting shoved around and they are not used to that the cops do whatever they want and worries them, which shows they have no freedom and can be used as puppets

C. analysis: Human

Commentary
Her tears for gran ma are forced to dry quickly since hunger, and a desperate feeling consumes the family in an attempt to survive the harsh ways of California, with its injustice for okies since there is no fair paying work. Either you earn something, or noting.
